S. Natasha Beretvas



Tasha Beretvas is Professor of Quantitative Methods in the Department of Educational Psychology, and the Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies for the College of Education at UT. Dr. Beretvas has research expertise in several methodological areas, including but not limited to evaluation and innovative application of psychometric and statistical models; multilevel modeling with a focus on extensions to the conventional multilevel model to handle student mobility and other sources of data structure complexities; meta-analytic techniques (particularly, synthesis of single-case research designs' results). Dr. Beretvas was a member of the Design and Analysis Committee for the National Assessment of Educational Progress, was elected to join the Society for Research Synthesis Methodology, was Associate Editor for the Journal of School Psychology and the Journal of Educational Psychology and on the editorial review board for several educational research journals. Dr. Beretvas has been the PI or Co-PI on multiple IES grants. Dr. Beretvas was a recipient of the Regents Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching. Her research has appeared in multiple methodological journals including Multivariate Behavioral Research, Psychological Methods, British Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology, Applied Psychological Measurement and Journal of Educational Measurement.
