Amanda Bosky



Amanda Bosky is a graduate student in the Department of Sociology.  Her primary research interests are education and inequality across the life course, with an emphasis on stratification in work and occupations.  Currently, she is working with the High School and Beyond dataset to understand how skills in adolescence are related to labor force exit due to disability at mid-life.  She is also working on a project investigating economic returns to education in young adulthood and how the value of credentials varies by gender across the achievement spectrum.

Amanda received a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2009, and she received a B.A. in History and Political Science from Northwestern University in 2006.  Prior to entering graduate school, Amanda worked as an attorney for four years.
