Information Session, Reception, and Model Class open to LAH families
The Information Session will take place in Mezes Hall Room 1.306 from 3:00 to 4:15 p.m. You will have the opportunity to hear LAH students talk about their experiences and current projects. Dr. Larry Carver will also give a brief update on where we are and where we would like to be. And please bring your questions and best thoughts; this is a chance for you to learn more about the program and to check on whether we are doing for the students what we promised to do.
The Reception will take place in the Liberal Arts Honors Offices, Gebauer 1.206, 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Faculty members teaching LAH classes this semester will be in attendance. Do come and join in the good fellowship.
We also invite families to become students again on that Friday and attend at least one class with your daughter or son. Nothing can give you better insight into the education your student is pursuing than your walking the campus during class hours and actually attending a class or two, and if you are able to attend LAH classes, then all the better.
On Saturday morning, October 16, the College of Liberal Arts will be providing various model classes for you to attend. We urge you to attend the course Dr. Carver will be conducting, “Reacting to the Past.” This innovative class has become the signature class for LAH freshmen. We will meet in Mezes Hall 1.306 at 11:00 a.m.
Please let us know the total number of persons in your party by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and indicating in the Subject line: LAH Family Weekend RSVP.
