Internships
Plan II Honors Internships:
Interships can be critical for gaining special skills for particular jobs or fields. The experience a student gains, the contacts and networks established over the course of a summer, long semeser, or a year, and the confidence a student gains through hands-on participation are vital in today's job market. All Plan II students are strongly encouraged to pursue (paid or unpaid) internships during summers or long semesters.
Plan II Honors has established several intership programs at the following sites on the UT Austin campus:
- Harry Ransom Center
- Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies
- The Blanton Museum of Art
- Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum

Academic Credit:
Plan II students wishing to earn academic course credit for an any internship should explolre this option through the Liberal Arts Career Services (LACS) Office.
Note: Plan II students who are pursuing a second major or degree may have alternate course credit options for internships and should check with their Advisor in their other academic field regarding these opportunities.

Liberal Arts Career Services - UT Liberal Arts students have access to job and internship posting sites offering opportunities for all career interests in Texas and around the world. It's never too early to start thinking about internships! Internships can help you explore your personal and professional interests, try out a career option and network with professionals. Research the variety of positions available then visit with a Career Coach to discuss application strategies, how to craft an effective resume and cover letter, interview strategies, etc... Liberal Arts Career Services also hosts a variety of events throughout the year including internship and job fairs, visit the LACS calendar.

U.S. Department of State - Careers Representing America. The Department of State offers a variety of programs for undergraduate students.
U.S. Department of Homeland Security - The Department of Homeland Security offers a variety of prestigious scholarships, fellowships, internships and training opportunities to expose talented students to the broad national security mission.Rising Star Internships
