Voltaire's Coffee: Dr. Elizabeth Scala: Shakespeare's Debt to Chaucer

Elizabeth Scala is an Associate Professor in the English Department where she teaches courses on Chaucer, medieval romance and pre-modern British literature. Most recently, she has edited _The Post-Historical Middle Ages_ and is finishing a book on desire and the practice of misreading in Chaucer's _Canterbury Tales_, as well as a number of essays on Shakespeare's familiarity with Chaucer's works.  She co-teaches a popular Research Methods course in Plan II each Fall.
