75th Anniversary of Plan II Honors, Diamond Jubilee Celebration
Fri, March 25, 2011 • Multiple Locations Around Campus
The Plan II Honors Program is celebrating our 75th Anniversary
To mark this milestone, we'll be holding a two-day Celebration and Reunion here on the UT campus in Austin on March 25-26, 2011. Former directors, current and former faculty, alumni from the class of 1940 through 2010 will gather to experience “Plan II in a day.” We’ll give alumni the chance to take a world literature class, a philosophy or social science class and attend a Voltaire’s Coffee. Current Plan II students will offer poster sessions on Plan II outreach programs and Plan II study abroad programs. There will be a panel discussion on national security, a physics circus, tours of the campus jewels (Blanton Museum, Humanities Research Center and an architectural tour of campus) as well as poetry readings and social events.
For the convenience of our participants, we have reserved a block of rooms at seven area hotels. These hotels--which vary in price range and location--on the Hotel Page. The number of rooms is limited and varies by hotel. These rooms have been set aside are on a courtesy basis and are not intended to accommodate all participants.
