LLILAS Internship Application Deadline, April 18

The Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies is recruiting Plan II interns for the 2011/12 academic year. The internship is a great opportunity for students who are interested in pursuing graduate degrees or working in Latin American affairs; international public policy, international education, and all Social Sciences discipline. Interns will have the opportunity to get familiar with the work of multiple centers within LLILAS, as well as a broad range of international initiatives organized by our Institute. Depending on specific background or skills, some interns may be assigned to particular LLILAS centers or programs.
The position is not benefits-eligible, but there is a stipend of $1500 per semester, for which the intern is expected to put in a 10-hour work week. More information is available online and at Plan II LLILAS internship.

The application package should include a resume indicating languages and computer skills, a cover letter stating why you are interested in this position, and a letter of recommendation from a UT faculty member or someone who knows your professional qualification pertinent to this internship. Please make sure that you demonstrate basic knowledge of LLILAS’ programs in your cover letter. You should also include information about your Fall schedule and availability.
