The Bridging Disciplines Programs (BDPs) hold two information sessions a week, EVERY Tuesday and Wednesday.
Tuesdays, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Wednesdays, 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.

WHERE: FAC 1

The Bridging Disciplines Programs (BDPs) at The University of Texas at Austin allow you to earn an interdisciplinary certificate in one of twelve different concentration areas:

Children and Society
Conflict Resolution & Peace Studies
Cultural Studies
Digital Arts and Media
Environment
Ethics and Leadership
Film Studies
Global Studies (formerly International Studies)
Human Rights and Social Justice
Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship
Social Entrepreneurship and Non-profits
Social Inequality, Health, and Policy

BDPs combine courses that fulfill core requirements, electives, and courses for your major with unique research and internships that connect your BDP topic with your major and career goals. With planning, the BDP should NOT add time to your UT career. Rather, the BDP helps you choose the courses you already have to take in an integrated way, giving you the opportunity to develop a secondary area of specialization.

One of the goals of the BDPs is to help you make your education fit your individual interests and goals. BDP advisors are here to help you find courses, research opportunities, and internship experiences that complement your major, while also supporting you in developing knowledge and experience you would not otherwise find within your degree plan.

Information Sessions:
WHAT: Learn more about the programs and get a chance to ask questions:
How can you benefit from the BDPs?
How do you choose the right BDP for you?
How can a BDP complement your degree plan?
What does the application process involve?
How do you write a successful BDP application essay?

CAN’T MAKE IT TO AN INFO SESSION? Call 232-7564 or stop by FAC 1 to make an appointment.
