Support Plan II
It's easy to make a gift to the Plan II Honors Program. Please read the following information on giving options and the simple instructions. In your generosity, you will be a part of the excellence of Plan II. Plan II parents, alumni and faculty have endowed faculty chairs, scholarships, and excellence funds.
Examples:
- The Trice Professorship in Plan II supports courses such as Paul Burka's seminar on the search for good and evil in politics.
- The Leslie Dyess Blanton Scholarship in the College of Liberal Arts supports incoming students with financial need.
- Robert C. Solomon Endowed Scholarship in Plan II Honors for Excellence in the Creative Arts and Philosophy supports continuing students with special financial needs.
Online Giving: Plan II Parents Fund and other Annual and One-Time Gifts:
At the UT Online Giving secure website you may use American Express, Discover, Master Card or Visa to make an electronic one-time gift or divide your annual gift into two, four or twelve monthly payments.
- In the "SELECT A GIFT" menu of the online form, please choose "Liberal Arts, College of "
- Enter the gift amount.
- Specify the PLAN II in the menu that appears under "Liberal Arts, College of".
- If you wish to specify or direct the gift to areas such as those mentioned below, or if the gift is in honor of someone, please make a note in the box provided that appears above the "Payment Schedule" portion of the on-line form.
Your on-line transaction is protected by SSL (Secure Sockets Layers). With SSL, the information you supply is encrypted before being sent to our server. This protects your transaction from unauthorized viewing while being transported across the Internet.
Annual and One-Time Gifts:
Annual or one-time gifts to enhance established funds and scholarships are always welcome. Your gift may be unspecified or directed to funds such as:
- The Plan II Honors Program Parents Fund (much needed funding for administrative and special expenses)
- The Plan II Anniversary Endowment (helps meet program expenses)
- The Plan II Alumni Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Plan II
Please know we can't do what we do without your help. Your tax-deductible gift to the Plan II Honors Program provides the only funding for special administrative and program expenses of indespendible activities that support student learning. Such as:
- Special Guest Lecturers. Voltaire's Coffees, special guest lecturers for Plan II classes and Plan II student organizations such as the Poetry Society, Plan II Pre-Medical Society, and the Plan II Pre-Law Society.
- Special Events. The Freshman Convocation, The Parents' Day Program and Reception, Graduation Day Convocation and Reception, and the Senior Thesis Symposia.
- Student wages. We depend heavily on student workers in our office, and for their wages we depend on you. These workers make it possible for our four full-time professional staff members to do the work of a staff of seven or eight.
- Faculty Development. Plan II provides special advanced training workshops on pedagogical methods and special Plan II course requirement for our faculty.
Endowments, Planned Gifts or Multi-Year Pledges:

Please be sure to specify the Plan II Honors Program; you may futher specify funds for need-based scholarships, study abroad scholarships, thesis research scholarships, special events, etc.
