The RGK Center launches the Social Innovation Competition encouraging students of all majors to apply their skills for the public good. $50,000 award to student or team with the most innovative plan addressing a significant social issue. All applicants are entered in a lottery for a $1,000 cash prize. Present ingenious entrepreneurial ideas to change your community, the nation, and the world. Propose a plan combining creativity and innovation that tackles a pressing social issue. Make your plan a reality!

Who is eligible to win? • All full-time, undergraduate and graduate level students from: o University of Texas system, o Texas AandM system, and o Rice University. • Individuals or teams of students.
How do I get started? 1. Check out Competition site for entry details. 2. Write a quick 3-page Dream Paper to enter the competition. You will be automatically eligible to win $1,000 cash just for entering! 3. Submit your entry by February 16, 2007.
How is the competition run? The competition has three stages. All students are invited to write brief statement of their idea - the Dream Paper. From the Dream Papers submitted, a select group will develop detailed venture/business plans. At the final campus event on May 5, a handful of finalists will present their plans to the judges. The selection committee, made up of leaders from the business, nonprofit and government sectors, will select a single winner and award $50,000.
