The Plan II Honors Program is very proud to announce that eight of the fourteen incoming 2012 Forty Acres Scholars are Plan II Honors majors.  The Forty Acres Scholars Program is a four-year merit scholarship created by the Texas Exes Scholarship Foundation to recruit and recognize exceptional students, enriching their lives and nurturing their development as future leaders at The University of Texas at Austin.

The Scholarship:

The Forty Acres Scholars Program is UT’s premier merit-based scholarship program. Its offerings go far beyond full tuition, developing a rich college experience that provides academic, leadership, cultural, and team-building activities. This special scholarship provides recipients a close community of friends, connections to esteemed alumni, networking opportunities, community service experiences, unforgettable travel, preparation for their careers, and memories to last a lifetime.

The scholarships will advance the core purpose of the University: to transform lives for the benefit of society. These students will be encouraged to fully explore their talents and aspirations, understanding that these great opportunities create even greater responsibilities to make the state, nation and world better places. Over the course of their college careers, Forty Acres Scholars will realize their potential using UT's core values as a guide.
