Spanish Screening Procedure (SSP)

The Spanish Screening Procedure (SSP) is a screening test for oral proficiency in Spanish. LOTE students seeking certification in Spanish are required to take the
SSP each semester of the UTeach-LA program.

All secondary Spanish certification seekers in UTL 101, 202 and UTL 303/EDC 370 who have not yet made a score a score of 7 or 8 on the SSP, should come by
SZB 216, or call 471-3223, to sign up for a time slot to take the SSP. The whole process takes about half an hour. Times available are 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30,
and 11:00 a.m., and 1:00, 1:30, 2:00, 2:30, 3:00, and 3:30 p.m. If you have a conflict with these times, you should contact Sue Holzaepfel, Senior Academic
