New research shows how stress hormone blocks effects of testosterone

New research by psychology professor Bob Josephs and Pranjal Mehta (University of Oregon) is now available online in Hormones and Behavior. The study shows that when cortisol—a hormone released in the body in response to threat—increases, the body is mobilized to escape danger, rather than respond to any influence that testosterone is having on behavior.
