Basant is a celebration of spring that originated in South Asia and is celebrated every year in Pakistan. This tradition is marked by flying kites and enjoying the outdoors in various ways.
The event will celebrate the great season of spring by showcasing different aspects of Pakistani and other South Asian cultures through live performances, traditional food and latest clothing styles. This event creates an environment of social mixing through which many diverse cultures may learn about each other.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. with kite flying, to be followed by the performance show at 7 p.m.
