The Center for Women's and Gender Studies presents a day-long conference on sexual harassment, featuring keynote speakers Cathy McBroom and Donna Wilkerson, who were featured in the Texas Monthly article “Perversion of Justice."
Through their bravery, these women exposed the pervasive sexual harassment and assault by their boss, Federal Judge Samuel Kent, resulting in his impeachment and ultimate incarceration in federal prison.
The conference will also feature three panel discussions throughout the day. Subjects of the panels will focus on Legal and Policy Perspectives: Federal Law and UT Policy, Interconnections between Race, Gender, and Sexual Harassment, and The Gender Equity Report: Two Years Later. All events are free and open to the public.
