Perforrmance Workshop Examines the "Aesthetics and Politics of Black Suffering and Revolt"

The John L. Warfield Center for African and African American Studies presents a performance workshop titled “The Aesthetics and Politics of Black Suffering and Revolt.”

The event will feature:

  • Gustavo Mello, actor, director and producer based in Rio De Janero, Brazil. 
  • Ana Flauzina, Afro-Brazilian activist and doctoral candidate at American University Washington College of Law.
  • Roger Reeves, poet and doctoral candidate in American literature, creative writing at The University of Texas at Austin.
