The Texas Politics Speaker Series presents "A Conversation with State Senator Kel Seliger." James Henson, director of university's Texas Politics Project, will talk with Senator Kel Seliger (R-Amarillo) about his career in politics, redistricting challenges, and governmental response to an increase of wildfires and other climate-related challenges in West Texas. Senator Seliger will also take questions from the audience.

The event is free and open to the public; seating will be limited and on a first come, first serve basis.

The Texas Politics Speaker Series brings to the university campus people from across the political spectrum and from all levels of government to discuss compelling political and policy issues. Speakers and topics are selected to engage students and the public, while providing insight into how the political process works in Texas.  The series is produced by the Texas Politics Project in conjunction with the Department of Government and the College of Liberal Arts, and is open to the public.  All events are recorded, and attendance implies consent to be included in recordings.
