The Center for Asian American Studies is hosting a talk titled "Stranger Intimacy: Contesting Race, Sexuality and the Law in the North American West," by Nayan Shah, professor of history at the University of California San Diego.
Shah will discuss his new book, which explores intimacies between global migrants and examines the intersections between capitalism, United States' and Canada’s treatment of immigrants, sexual citizenship and race in the early 20th century.
