The 2012 Lozano Long Conference, Central Americans and the Latino/a Landscape: New Configurations of Latina/o America, focuses on Central American populations in the United States, whose role has been critical in the reconfiguration of Latino/a studies in the first decade of the twenty-first century. Actress Eva Longoria presents the keynote address.
Organized by the Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies (LLILAS) with the collaboration of the Center for Mexican American Studies (CMAS), the departments of American Studies, English, Spanish and Portuguese, Sociology, Geography and the Environment, the Center for Asian American Studies (CAAS) and the Office of Graduate Studies, ILASSA and the Benson Latin American Collection.
