Gone to Liberal Arts

The Forty Acres will fill again with the excitement and energy of thousands of students returning to campus. The College of Liberal Arts invites you to be a part of that excitement by participating in our annual Gone to Liberal Arts event.
 
On Tuesday, August 28, the college will welcome our students back to campus with a barbecue dinner, live music, and a chance to meet with our administration, faculty, and staff. We will meet at the Turtle Pond just north of the Tower from 6-8 p.m. During this time you will be treated to catering by Pok-e-Jo’s while classic country band, Run of the Mill, performs live.
 
At 8:30 p.m. we will join the rest of the university on the Main Mall for the campus-wide Gone to Texas festivities. If you have not attended one of these events, you are in for a treat. Guest speakers, live performances, and the Longhorn Band are on the agenda to welcome new students to our academic community.
