Fall Symposia Explores Changing Field of Mexican American Studies

The Center for Mexican American Studies (CMAS) is hosting an annual public symposia beginning this fall. This annual gathering of leading scholars from diverse disciplines is designed to facilitate and further conversations central to the changing field of Mexican American studies. The title of the fall symposium is "Sexing the Borderlands: From the Midwest Corridor and Beyond" and is scheduled to take place Octt. 12-13.

José Esteban Muñoz, Professor of Performance Studies at New York University, will give the kickoff lecture for the symposium. The title of his lecture is "The Brown Commons: The Sense of Wildness."
