President Powers works to help move in new campus residents
Warm welcomes from volunteers offering assistance will greet new and returning students and their parents moving in to residence halls for the fall semester at The University of Texas at Austin, August 21-23.
William Powers Jr., president of the university, will be among the volunteers who will work in shifts helping the new arrivals carry suitcases, boxes and other belongings from vehicles and move them into residence halls during Mooov-In 2009. Mooov-In is a tradition that helps incoming students meet members of the university community before the start of the fall semester.
The residence halls participating in Mooov-In this year include:
* Beauford H. Jester Center
* Kinsolving Dormitory / Whitis Court / Almetris Duren Hall
* Simkins Hall Dormitory
* San Jacinto Residence Hall
* Brackenridge Hall / Roberts Hall / Prather Hall / Moore-Hill dormitories
* Littlefield / Carothers / Andrews / Blanton dormitories
