The Department of Human Development and Family Sciences presents a talk by Gian Gonzaga, senior research scientist and director at eHarmony.
Gonzaga has been a Senior Research Scientist at eHarmony.com for the last four years and is currently the director of eHarmony Labs. Prior to joining eHarmony Gonzaga was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles after getting his degree in social-personality psychology at UC Berkeley in 2001. He has taught, presented and published extensively on topics relating to relationships, love and health. Specifically he has researched how emotions can promote commitment, the physiological links between oxytocin and stress response, and how dyadic aspects of a couple predict later relationship success.
