The Center for Politics and Governance is hosting a conference "Money and Politics - Are We Getting Our Votes' Worth?"
Panel discussions will take place in the morning at 9:45 a.m., and afternoon at 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided (to those who RSVP) at 12:00-1:15 p.m.
The keynote/lunch speaker is Matthew Petersen, vice-chairman of the Federal Election Commission. Panelists include Kirk Rudy, deputy national finance chair for the Democratic National Committee; Henry Bonilla, former U.S. Congressman; and Meredith McGehee, policy director for the Campaign Legal Center.
Government Department Professors Brian Roberts, Daron Shaw, and Scott Powe will be participating in the morning session. The event is free an dopen to the public. RSVP to Vanessa Stotts at 512-471-6093.
