The Institute of Latin American Studies Student Association is hosting its 30th Annual Student Conference on Latin America Feb. 4-6. It is the oldest and largest student-run conference in the field of Latin American Studies.
Guest speakers for the opening session on Feb. 4 are Sergio Ramirez, former Vice President of Nicaragua; and Carlos Mauricio, executive director of the Stop Impunity Project. Presentations by students from all over the United States and Latin America will take place all day Friday and Saturday morning.
The closing plenary starts at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, with the closing address by Marisela Yniesta Reynoso, project director of Fondo Pro Cuenca in Mexico.
