Analyzes data on promotion by rank, gender, and ethnicity, drilling down for the years since Randy L. Diehl became Dean of the College. The second half of the report looks at the presence of senior female faculty in positions of leadership.
Between 2003 and 2011, the College of Liberal Arts considered 282 promotion cases, including tenured, tenure track, and non-tenure-track faculty. This report analyzes promotion outcomes by ethnicity for these years.
Associate Dean Esther Raizen convened a task force led by Megan Seaholm, Lecturer in the Department of History, to study the work environment for non-tenure track faculty and to make recommendations to improve employment practices.
