Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement - call for nominations

For interested nominees, please provide the following information to Jeff Meserve (meserve@austin.utexas.edu) no later than August 11, 2010 @ noon:

• Applicant’s CV or vita 
• Three or more letters of recommendation from individuals who are able to assess the nominee's contribution
• List of at least three additional names and contact information of individuals who might be contacted by the Tyler Executive Committee
• A one-page summary of the individual's or institution's discovery, improvement, or other contribution for which the award is proposed

Selection criteria:
1) The protection, maintenance, improvement or understanding of an ecological or an environmental condition anywhere in the world;
2) The discovery, further development, improvement, or understanding of known or new sources of energy; or
3) Medical discoveries or achievements with such worldwide implications that they significantly benefit environmental aspects of human health.

Qualifications:  Living individuals or public or private institutions of any nation, are eligible for nomination.
