Grant Budgeting Workshop Series, Part 1: General Principles of Grant Budgeting

The College of Liberal Arts Research Office is hosting a budget preparation workshop series in February and March 2013. These workshops are for faculty members who are interested in learning the principles, and procedures for developing a grant budget.  In addition to budget development we will discuss direct costs, indirect costs, cost sharing, and some differences in budget requirements for multiple sponsors.

Part 1 of this two-part workshop series will introduce you to the general concepts, principles, and procedures needed to develop a grant budget that will pass UT Austin’s Office of Sponsored Projects review. We will discuss direct costs, indirect costs, cost sharing, and more.  Bring your computer or paper and a calculator to practice budget preparation.
