The Office of Research has made graduate students a cornerstone of our activities by collaborating closely with the Office of Graduate Studies and Liberal Arts Departments, Centers, and Programs.

Summer Courses 2014


In summer 2014, the College of Liberal Arts will launch a series of graduate student summer courses to teach graduate-level academic and professional skills. Course topics include:

  • Public Scholarship
  • Dissertation Boot Camp
  • Online Pedagogy
  • The Writing Process

Progress to Degree

The Office of the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies has released a Statement on Time to Degree and Graduate Student Funding in the College of Liberal Arts.

The plan encourages reduced time to degree and limits on the number of years of funding the College will offer individual graduate students. Gradual implementation will begin in the 2014-15 academic year.
