Dr. Burnett comes to us from the Institute of Latin American Studies where she taught for over fifteen years. Long affiliated with the Religious Studies Program and currently an associate professor of history, Dr. Burnett will serve as Interim Director for the 2006-2007 academic year.

Join us for ice cream with toppings and sundry delights as we usher in the new school year and meet Joni Carpenter, the new Religious Studies advisor, and Dr. Virginia Garrard Burnett, our Interim Director. This year's Open House will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the 4th floor conference room in the Gebauer Building. All Religious Studies majors and affliliated faculty are invited to attend. Ice cream and other snacks will be provided.
