Join the Schusterman Center for Jewish Studies and the White Rose Society for a reception honoring Holocaust survivor William J. Morgan. Following the reception, Morgan and Tali Blumrosen (former chair of the Holocaust Museum Houston) will have a discussion in GAR 0.102, as part of Overcoming Hatred: A Human Rights Symposium. 


The White Rose Society is a student organization dedicated to genocide awareness, Holocaust remembrance, and human rights advocacy. The White Rose Society is affiliated with Texas Hillel, UT’s Center for Jewish Student Life. Their annual human rights symposium is a speaker series that brings human rights advocates and experts to UT. Co-sponsors of this year's events include the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement, the College of Liberal Arts, Student Government, Hillel International, the Schusterman Center for Jewish Studies, the Events CoSponsorship Board, and the Fela and David Shapell Family Foundation.
