Deadline for undergraduate thesis awards is May 7

The Schusterman Center for Jewish Studies will award two $750 prizes this year for outstanding undergraduate theses on Jewish Studies topics. Students must deliver a hard copy of their thesis to the history department's office (GAR 1.104) by 4:30 p.m. May 7 for consideration.

Each year SCJS confers the David M. Rosenberg Award for Achievement in Jewish Studies and the Henry Weiss Award for Achievement in Jewish Studies. Last year's winners were Molly Odintz, for her thesis "Off-White and On-Screen: Response to Ethnic Caricature as a Lens on Jewish-American Identity, 1915–1930," and Megan Keefe for "The Fundamentalist Israeli Right: The Relationship of Gush Emunim to Israeli National Mythology and the State Apparatus, 1974–1984."
