Once repressed by the Soviet government in the early 1980s for his liberal views of the emerging Russian rock scene, Artemy Troitsky is now widely regarded as the world's most respected authority on Russian rock. He lives, writes, and works in Moscow where he teaches a seminar on music journalism at Moscow State University.
