Interested in spending time abroad, interacting with local students, professionals and non-profit organizations?
How about attending lectures on business, energy, geopolitical issues, public and international affairs, and making contacts in Eurasia?
The Texas Global Exchange Program is for you!
This exchange, coordinated through the Kazakh American Friendship Council and the Turquoise Council of Americans and Eurasians, is hosting a week-long forum focusing on the economic ties between Texas and Kazakhstan, the VII Astana Economic Forum in Astana, Kazakhstan, between May 16th and 25th 2014. The program will provide eligible students and faculty members with the opportunity to travel abroad; attend lectures on business, energy, geopolitical issues, and public and international affairs; interact with local students; and meet with local companies and non-profit organizations. Students will make contacts in the area, gain cultural experience, and learn about business and international affairs in Eurasia.
We welcome applications from all Texas students (either students who are Texas residents or students who attend institutions of higher education in Texas) and faculty interested in the Central Asia region.
