Habib University Pakistan: Students and Interested Faculty Please Attend

Dear Faculty, Students and Members of the Austin Community,

Members of the Planning Team of the Habib University Foundation, a not-for-profit educational organization established by the House of Habib (HoH) which is a leading financial and industrial conglomerate in Pakistan will be on the UT campus on July 28th, 2011. The South Asia Institute will hold a session to introduce the Habib University project on the 28th from 3-5:30pm at the Meyerson Conference Room, WCH 4.118 (map link). Snacks will be served.
The project is geared toward developing Habib University - a world-class research-based undergraduate institution that aims to respond to the pressing challenges facing our local, regional and global communities. A first-of-its-kind initiative in Pakistan, the Habib University educational experience seeks to firmly root itself in the liberal arts and the innovative spirit of entrepreneurship, while providing high quality programs of study in science and engineering and the social sciences, arts and humanities.
