Mon, February 25, 2013 | University of Texas School of Law (TNH 3.127)

11:30 AM - 1:00 PM

The Oscar-nominated film Zero Dark Thirty has reignited the controversy about the place of torture in American policy. Professor Ramzi Kassem will explore what the ongoing debate reveals- and what it obscures- about American counterterrorism efforts and the United States' current legal and moral standing.

Ramzi Kassem is Associate Professor of Law and Director, Immigrant and Non-Citizen Rights Clinic, City University of New York.
