Melvyn Goldstein is John Reynold Harkness Professor of Anthropology at Case Western Reserve University and the Author of The Snow Lion and the Dragon: China, Tibet and the Dalai Lama (University of California Press, 1997)

Event 2:


Tibetan Music. Keila Diehl and Techung

Keila Diehl (PhD in Anthropology, University of Texas at Austin, 1998) is a lecturer in the Department of Cultural and Social Anthropology, Stanford University, and the Author of Echoes From Dharamsala: Music in the Life of a Tibetan Refugee Community (University of California Press, 2002). Techung (Tashi Dhondup Sharzur) is a prominent Tibetan singer, songwriter and musician.
