You must meet with an academic advisor for the major you wish to declare.
For a list of majors with links to departmental information, see the List of Majors. Students who wish to declare Humanities, Plan II Honors, Psychology, or Urban Studies must follow an application procedure, details for which can be found on the departments' websites.
If you are currently in another college and plan to transfer to Liberal Arts or add a simultaneous major you will need departmental approval and will have to submit paperwork to the Liberal Arts Student Division in GEB 2.200.
When you meet with an advisor to discuss the major, you will be asked to formulate a graduation plan. You may want to use the sample Four-Year Plans on the website for guidance, though your custom plan is unlikely to follow the examples directly. You can fill in the Blank Four-Year Plan {link to PDF} to take to your advising session. You may also want to run an audit for that major in the Interactive Degree Audit system and/or consult with a degree plan.
