The College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas at Austin - which embraces both the Humanities and the Social Sciences - believes that the foundation it provides to students in any degree program is the most important component of a UT education.
The College is also among the top five liberal arts colleges in public institutions in the nation, as ranked by the National Research Council. With over 50 departments and 600 faculty members, the College provides a world-class education to over 11,000 undergraduates.
Our challenge is to sustain this momentum and move further into the top tier. In this effort, the College is currently seeking funding for the following initiatives:
- TECHNOLOGY, LITERACY AND CULTURE (TLC)
- BENSON LATIN AMERICAN COLLECTION
- CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF DEMOCRACY
- SHAKESPEARE AT WINEDALE
- LEADERSHIP, ETHICS AND SERVICE
- PLAN II HONORS PROGRAM
- UTEACH - LIBERAL ARTS
- STUDYING FAMILY AND COMMUNITY LIFE
- LANGUAGE AND SOCIETY
- DEGREES FOR SECONDARY TEACHERS
- MASTERS OF LIBERAL ARTS
- PROFESSIONAL AND CIVIC WRITING
- OUTREACH
- WRITING COMPONENT COURSES
- HUMANITIES INSTITUTE
We invite you to join us as we develop these initiatives and to contribute to the College of Liberal Arts.
