I Want to Volunteer!

Thank you for your interest in volunteer opportunities for Commencement 2001. The success of this celebration depends upon the generous support of volunteers who, as ambassadors for The University, help to make the culmination of students' academic careers an occasion to be remembered!

In order to make the most of your volunteer experience, please read the following information carefully.

Options for Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to work at information booths throughout the weekend AND during the University-wide ceremony on May 19. Please review the volunteer options below and choose either Option A or Option B with your preferred shift.

Please choose one of the following volunteer options:

VOLUNTEER OPTION A: Commencement Information Centers

Several Information Centers will operate from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 18, and 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19. Volunteers are needed for shifts throughout the day.

VOLUNTEER OPTION B: Main Commencement Ceremony Assistance

Volunteers are needed to help with the Main Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 19.

Information for All Commencement Volunteers

Volunteer Orientation Luncheon

Wednesday, May 16, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Erwin Center Burnt Orange Room

Please make plans to attend the volunteer luncheon on May 16. You will receive a complementary lunch, a free t-shirt, and will learn about the exciting volunteer plans for Commencement 2001!

Student volunteers living in University residence halls may request to stay on campus in a central location through the night of Saturday, May 19. For more information, please contact Lisa Camero at lisa.camero@mail.utexas.edu.
