The University of Texas at Austin celebrates the academic attainment of our graduates with a wide spectrum of Commencement activities in a fun-filled and memorable weekend. Highlights follow:

Convocation ceremonies, hosted by the various colleges and schools, are occasions when these components celebrate their graduates' achievements with individualized honors and traditions. The convocations provide photo opportunities for candidates' families to capture moments such as the hooding of doctor's and master's students or a dean shaking students' hands as their names are called and they walk across the stage.

Candidates are advised to contact their representative to verify the ceremonies for which they are eligible. The attached schedule notes times and locations and other pertinent information for college and school convocations.

The Texas Exes invite members of the Class of 2005 and their families to a Commencement weekend open house for a free glass of champagne and refreshments.

The Great Texas EX-IT is on Saturday, December 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday, December 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center, 2110 San Jacinto Boulevard. Graduating students may sign over their $10 UT property fee, paid when they first enrolled, to receive a free one-year membership in the Texas Exes and a Texas Ex window decal.
