Academic Dress, Invitations and Announcements

Academic regalia for degree candidates is traditional for college and school ceremonies. Academic regalia, printed invitations and announcements for mailing to family and friends are available for purchased from the University Co-op at http://www.universitycoop.com or at one of the following locations:

Invitations should be mailed out to arrive 2 weeks prior to the ceremony.  Announcements may be mailed out at any time.  Announcement & Invitation orders take 2-5 business days to print.

Special services are available to accommodate needs of degree candidates with disabilities who will be participating in Commencement activities. Degree candidates who require accommodations due to a disability are asked to contact their college, school or department representative so the proper arrangements can be made prior to arrival at Commencement convocations. Services for students with disabilities are available through the Dean of Students' office. Please call Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at (512) 471-6259 or by TDD at (512) 471-4641 prior to 5 p.m. On Saturday, December 8 and Sunday December 9, information is available by calling the University Police Department at (512) 471-4441 or by TDD (512) 471-4777. While every effort will be made, the university may be unable to fulfill last-minute requests.

For information on individual convocations and special events, please contact college, school and department representatives directly in advance. Please note that university offices will be closed on Saturday, December 8 and Sunday December 9.
