How do I schedule an event?

Once you have completed a Customer Profile, you may make reservations 24 hours a day using our online reservation system, or one of our conference coordinators will be happy to assist you during business hours. Please call 512-471-5898.

Where is The Commons Center located?

What number may I leave in the event I need to be contacted while I am attending an event?

Our mission is to provide the highest quality learning environment and support. If you need any special arrangements, please let us know and we will make every effort to accommodate you. To speak with a conference coordinator, please call 512-471-5898.

What time do the buildings open?

Our buildings are open Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and, when conferences are scheduled, in the evenings and on weekends.

Who may use the facilities and services?

The Commons Center complex is dedicated to serving The University of Texas at Austin community, corporations, businesses, state agencies and associations.

What facilities and services are available?

Our conference operation offers meeting space in two buildings, the Commons and the MCC Buildings, located a mile apart in the northwest area of Austin, Texas. We offer three theatre style auditoriums, 12 meeting rooms, Business Centers in both buildings, a dining facility, three versatile atriums, a wireless computer cart and state-of-the-art audio and video technology.

What audiovisual equipment is available?

We offer a full range of AV equipment and an advanced level of technical support including digital video recording and webcasting. For a complete listing of our AV equipment and services, please visit our Technical Services page.

Is Internet access available in The Commons Center conference rooms?

All of our auditoriums, conference rooms and atriums have Ethernet and analog connections, and our Business Service Centers are equipped with computers with high-speed Internet access and the Microsoft Office suite. The Commons Building also offers wireless Internet access.

Is there a Computer lab available?

Yes!  A 28-unit wireless Dell laptop cart is available for your training and demonstration needs.
