Q. Where is Commons Learning Center located?

Q. Where may I stay while attending an event at Commons Learning Center?
A. If you will need lodging, view our list of area hotels, many of which offer special rates and free shuttle service to our conference attendees. The University of Texas' AT&T Hotel is located on the main UT campus in central Austin.
Q. Is there an emergency contact number at the conference center?
A. The Business Center hotline number is 512-471-5898.
Q. How do I request special accommodations?
A. Our mission is to provide the highest quality learning environment and support for all our customer's needs. If you require additional assistance or accommodations for your visit, please email us or call 512-471-5898 at least five working days prior to your arrival.
Q. What are the hours of operation?
A. Buildings are open Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and as required when conferences are scheduled on evenings and weekends.
Q. Who may book reservations with Commons Learning Center?
A. University of Texas departments and organizations offering education programs. All programs must follow these guidelines:
- Events may not directly result in financial gain for any individual, group, association or corporation.
- Political and religious programs and fundraising events are prohibited.
- Exhibits are allowed and may include brochures and catalogs. Sales or orders are not permissible on the premises.
Q. What steps are necessary to book a program?
A. University Departments must submit an IDT and valid UT EID to make a reservation.
University Vice Presidential approval is required for all non-university customers. This process requires completion of an approval form and a cover letter stating the educational purpose of the program, billing information, and agreement to The University of Texas Board of Regent’s policies.
Once you have completed a Customer Profile, you may make reservations 24 hours a day, seven days a week using our online reservation system [UT EID required] or contact one of our conference coordinators. Call 512-471-5898, Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Q. What facilities and services are available?
A. Our conference facilities offers meeting space in two buildings, the Commons Building and the WPR Building, located a mile apart in North Austin.
Each meeting room offers ergonomic chairs, moveable classroom tables, whiteboards and map rails. A full range of audio visual options are also available for additional fees. Onsite conference planners, AV team, and catering staff are available to assist with any need during our program. Business services, including wifi, copy, and fax are available at Commons Business Center.
Q. How much does it cost to use Commons Learning Center facilities?

Q. What audio visual equipment is available?
A. We offer a full range of AV equipment, including computer lab and on-site technical support. For a complete listing of our AV equipment and services, please visit our Technical Services page.
Q. Is internet access available?
A. Yes. Both wireless and wired internet is available in the conference rooms and atrium. You may also purchase a conference wireless pass for attendees. Please speak with a conference planner regarding associated fees.
