II. Campus-wide Planning for Information Technology
In 1989 the Committee developed the first campus-wide strategic plan for Academic Computing. This plan, which became known as the Vision Plan proposed major changes in academic computing.By 1995 not only were these changes well underway, but the field of academic computing had changed rapidly. In Spring 1995 an FCC subcommittee met to consider revision of the original Vision Plan. This resulted in a New Vision Plan entitled Toward the Virtual University to guide the University of Texas at Austin into the next century.

III. College and School Plans for Information Technology

A written report on the FCC's review of these plans is prepared to assist in funding decisions for information technology by the University. These reports are available on-line, including: Review of Academic Vision Plans, 1995-96 and Review of Academic Vision Plans, 1996-97
