Ann Genova is a Ph.D. student at the University of Texas at Austin. Her work focuses on the petroleum industry in Nigeria. Her publications include “Oil in Nigeria: A Bibliographical Reconnaissance” (2003) in History in Africa and “Market Women in Nigeria, 1940-1960,” in Nigeria in the Twentieth Century (2002). She is currently working on a book called The Politics of Oil.
