The McNeil-Gonzalez Ranch Site June 1 - July 7, 2006 Earn college credit while investigating 11,000 years of prehistory at an extensive and deeply stratified archaeological site along the lower Guadalupe River. The McNeil-Gonzalez site spans the Late Paleoindian, Archaic and Late Prehistoric periods, and the research conducted there promises to contribute substantially to the little known prehistory of the region. Gain experience in survey, excavation, mapping, geoarchaeological field techniques and laboratory processing. Field trips and presentations will explore the geology, prehistory and colorful history of the region. Accommodations will be provided on the ranch, located near Victoria, Texas. |
