NIFTY PYRAMID MATH
Back to Old Kingdom.

These math points come from a web site spotted by an alert member
of the class. Note the vagueness: doesn't say which pyramid, and
rarely tells you what measure is being used. The measurements appear
to refer to the pyramid of Khufu (Cheops). Black bullets are the web
site points; white bullets show the actual figures and
calculations.
- When using the Egyptian cubit the perimeter is 365.24 - the
number of days in the year
- the perimeter is 3016 ft. (754' x 4); if this point is
truee, an Egyptian cubit is 8.26 ft.
- The perimeter times two equals one minute of one degree at the
equator
- 1 arc minute = 1.174 miles; double the perimeter is 6032
ft. = 1.142 miles
- The apex to base slant is equal to 600th of a degree of
latitude
- a degree of latitude (69.4 miles)/600 = 0.116 = 612.48
ft.
- if slant means length of side, that is 612 ft.
- The height x 10 to the power of 9 gives approximately the
distance from the earth to the sun
- height (.091 miles = 481 ft.) x 10 to 9th = 91 million
miles
- distance earth to sun = 93 million miles
- The perimeter divided by 2 x the height of the pyramid is
equal to pi = 3.1416
- this makes no sense in Eg. cubits or in feet or anything
else:
- cubits: 365.24/2 = 182.62 x 58.23 = 10633.96
- feet: 3016/2 = 1508 x 481 = 725348
- The weight of the pyramid x 10 to the power of 15 is equal to
the approximate weight of the earth
- weight of pyramid 6.5 million tons x 10 to 15th power = 6.5
x 10 to 21st
- weight of the earth = 13.17 x 10 to 24th power pounds /
2000 = 6.5 x 10 to 21st tons
- When the cross diagonals of the base are added together, the
answer is equal to the amount of time (in years) that it takes for
the earth's polar axis to go back to its original starting point -
25,286.6 years
- cross diagonals added = 2132 ft. = 25,584
inches
- The measurements of the King's Chamber give 2-5-3 and 3-4-5
which are basic Pythagorean triangles
