Assignment 2

Assignment 2 is due before 9:30 AM on Thursday, September 19. No late assignments will be accepted.

1. Create a new Web page called Assignment 2 and upload this Web page to your folder on Webspace. This Web page should have:
   
   1. A title of  COM 314 - Assignment 2.
   2. A heading across the top of the page  that says Assignment 2.
   3. A reasonable background color of your choice.
   4. An ordered list with three things you enjoy doing.
   5. A link to the site review described in number 2 below.
   6. Standard signature information with the date, a mailto URL to your e-mail address, and a link to the COM 314 syllabus.
      
      
2. Write a 250-300 word (about 1.5 pages) review of the web site for the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  This review must be a Web page that upload to your Webspace folder. The critique will be similar to the short site reviews you wrote for Assignment 1 except it will be more in depth.    It  must include at least four links to various pages that illustrate your points.  For example, if you find a page confusing, write why it is confusing and include a link to it.  Make sure your critique addresses the following questions:
   
   1. How long does it take for pages to load? Do you think this is acceptable?
   2. Are the graphics useful and consistent, do they load quickly?  Is there anything you might do to improve the visual look of the pages?
   3. Is it easy to navigate the site.  Give specific examples that illustrate your answer.
   4. Is there useful content? Is the content well-organized and easy to find?
   5. Did the pages break any of the rules of good Web design we discussed in class.
   6. Briefly compare  and contrast the University of Wisconsin site to the UT site.
   7. Don't forget to include a title and signature information on this review page as well.
