OMIM is the most extensive data base of human genetic traits. It is an important tool for geneticists worldwide. It is maintained by the National Center for Biotechnology Information, the National Library of Medicine, National Institutes of Health, in Bethesda, MD. OMIM is constantly updated to incorporate the latest information. It also has links to other major genetics databases.
This site contains a list with links of a very large number of support organizations, most of which are identified with specific genetic disorders.
